Always Do It Right
At JBS, ethics and compliance are looked on as assets. Since 2017, the Company has had a global directorate that deals with the issue of Compliance independently, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. The year 2020 was an important one for reiterating the commitment of senior management to the continuous improvement and effectiveness of the processes implemented.
Code of Conduct and Ethics
The Code of Conduct and Ethics – CCE provides guidance for team members on how to act in accordance with the conduct and behavior acceptable by JBS.
Available in Portuguese, English, Italian and Spanish, it was drawn up to consolidate and unify the existing global guidelines for the various operations of JBS worldwide.
Under the CCE, breaches of compliance, policies and procedures and prevailing legislation may result in disciplinary measures being imposed, which may include, among other consequences provided for by law, rescission of the employment relationship.

We foster an open-door culture, with a channel available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, open to team members and third parties. Reports can be made anonymously, and we have zero tolerance for retaliation, a principle reinforced in our Global Non-Retaliation Policy.
